Think of Brand Voice as your in-house content marketer, completely attuned to your unique voice. It encompasses your brand’s personality, tone and voice guidelines, and writing style, among other aspects.

How to Use Brand Voice in 3 Simple Steps

Let’s walk through a quick step-by-step process to get you started with Brand Voice. If you haven’t already, create your free account.

Step 1: Embrace Your Brand’s Voice

When you select Brand Voice from the navigation menu, you’ll be prompted to provide copy examples that represent your brand’s voice. Choose content that best reflects the tone and style you desire. If you prefer a casual and laid-back tone, use examples that showcase that. If you want to be bold and spicy, include examples that match that vibe.

You can source content from various places, including social media posts, blog entries, company memos, press releases, and even inspiration from across the internet. It’s generally advised to input at least 300 words to provide with enough content to analyze and build an accurate representation of your brand’s voice.

Step 2: Unleash the Magic of Analysis

Once you’ve inputted your content, simply hit “Analyze Brand Voice.” If you’re satisfied with the results, save them. However, if you believe the output needs some fine-tuning, you have options:

  • Add more content examples or replace existing ones.
  • Make direct edits to the generated Brand Voice has crafted for you.

Pro tip: If you have multiple ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and need to tailor your tone for each, you can create separate brand voices. For instance, you could have a Brand Voice built for your enterprise audience and another for your SMB audience.
